I’ve committed myself to writing about something every day, no matter the length or perfection. I’d been a student for the majority of my life, which meant my writing was always made for someone else. But now that I’ve graduated, and finished my personal essays for law school applications, there’s no one to write for but myself. This has been both a challenge and an opportunity: a chance to explore and to surrender myself from the pressure of someone else’s liking. Here, I share pieces I enjoy—ones that feel like being comfortable in my own skin.
